From Day One, our founder and director insisted that integrity, respect, and compassion be at the heart of Newcastle Disability Access and everything we do. Indeed, he passed this fervent belief onto each one of our team members; today, integrity, respect, and compassion are the core values upon which we continue to work and interact with our clients.
Because we work in such a personal and intimate space, we believed there simply could not be any other way to run our business. Support requires all three: respect for our clients in every action we take to support them, integrity to always have their best interests at heart, and compassion so as to not just tick a box - but to truly care about our clients. For us, our continuing to adhere to these beliefs as we grow is just as much a success as our client base.
Long-Term Focus, Present Day EffortsFor us, we reject the idea that support work can be fitted into a neat box and that we could simply “clock on, clock off.” Our job requires energy, enthusiasm, long hours, but also caring for our clients. This means every job we take on is unique: if that means we have to go a little slower, then so be it. Making A Difference In Support Work With Compassion
After four years of helping people who live with a disability, our founder decided that too many support providers were working only with objectivity - which came across as clinical and uncaring. So we made it a point of difference to infuse our services with compassion. Anything less than taking the extra mile to support our clients is for us unacceptable.
And after four years in the industry, our founder can confidently say that he wouldn’t rather be anywhere else. And so we structure our business, our systems & practices, and our team around striving for long-term goals for our clients. For us, we’re not just supporting: we’re also transforming the present into a better future.
